ChatGPT · one connector

Publish to social from ChatGPT.

Add one connector and the assistant you already draft in can put the draft out — to every network you connected, with a receipt for each.

Most posts already start in ChatGPT. The awkward part has never been writing them, it is the twenty minutes afterwards spent opening tabs, reshaping the same paragraph to fit different ceilings, and pasting it in 7 places. Connecting 1Social removes that step: you ask, it publishes, and the answer comes back in the same thread.

The connection is made once, in your browser, through OAuth. There is no API key to paste into a chat window and no password anywhere in the conversation — which matters more here than it sounds, because anything you type into a chat is stored in that chat. ChatGPT gets a set of tools, not your credentials.

Publishing from ChatGPT

Drawn rather than captured — but the outcomes are the ones this product really produces, including the network that could not be confirmed.

Set me up — what do you need?

Just the accounts. Connect them in the browser once and I can publish from here after that.

Done, connected

I will tell you before publishing if a network cannot take what you wrote.

Good. Drafting the launch note now

Send it over and I will check it before anything goes out.

Two are ready, one needs the picture attaching, and one I cannot confirm yet — I will say so rather than guess.

Where to add it in ChatGPT

Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode → Add custom connector

The address to paste is on the MCP page, printed from live configuration rather than typed into a document — so it cannot be out of date here while being correct there.

What ChatGPT can do once it is connected

Connected once, there always

Added a single time in settings and available in every conversation afterwards, rather than something you reattach whenever you open a new thread.

Nothing secret gets typed

Authorisation happens in a browser window. A conversation keeps everything you put in it, which is a good reason for none of it to be a credential.

The queue outlives the chat

Name a day and a time and it holds. Publishing runs on our side, so closing the conversation changes nothing about what goes out.

Paying happens in a browser

Subscriptions cannot be sold inside a conversation here, so an upgrade is a link out. The free monthly allowance is reachable from the chat; a plan is not.

How it works

1

Connect once

~2 min

Link the accounts you use in a browser. OAuth, no passwords typed into a chat, no API keys to paste anywhere.

2

Ask, in your own words

one sentence

Tell ChatGPT to publish to every network you picked, now or on a day you name. No dashboard, no tab switch.

3

Read the receipt

per network

One line per network — what landed, what failed and why, and what genuinely could not be determined.

You cannot buy anything inside the conversation

OpenAI does not permit selling subscriptions inside a chat, so every payment step is a link out to a browser rather than a flow you complete where you are standing. That constraint shaped the whole billing side of this product rather than being bolted on afterwards, and it is why an agent asking you to upgrade will hand you a URL instead of a form. It also means the free monthly allowance is reachable from the chat and a paid plan is not — the first post can happen entirely in the conversation, the subscription cannot.

A rule of ChatGPT, not ours and not the network’s. From documentation, checked 2026-08-06.

When this is the wrong tool

Custom connectors currently sit behind developer mode in ChatGPT’s settings, which is three levels deep and not something most people have switched on. If you want an integration that installs in one click from a directory listing, this is not that yet, and pretending otherwise would only waste your afternoon.

Questions people actually ask

Where do I add the connector in ChatGPT?

Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced, then Developer mode, then Add custom connector. The address to paste is on our MCP page, printed straight from configuration so it cannot be out of date.

Does ChatGPT see my social account passwords?

No. You authorise each network in a browser and the access stays with our publishing provider. The assistant is handed a set of tools it can call, and none of them can read a credential.

Can ChatGPT schedule a post for later?

Yes, up to 30 days ahead in your own timezone. Nothing needs to stay open — the publish happens on our side at the time you asked for, whether or not the conversation is still there.

What happens if one network fails?

You are told which one, in words you can act on, while the others stay published. The failed network can be retried on its own without republishing anywhere else.
