X · from ChatGPT
ChatGPT writes long and X does not forgive it. The count happens before the post leaves, and the fix is a thread rather than a cut.
X is the network where ChatGPT’s drafts most often do not fit. A paragraph that reads well in the chat is usually past 280 characters, and pasting it into X by hand means trimming it under pressure. With 1Social connected, ChatGPT checks the draft against X before publishing, sees exactly which part is over and by how much, and either tightens it or offers to send it as a thread of up to 25 posts.
The connection is a sign-in to X in a browser; there are no developer keys to create and no X API bill of your own. ChatGPT gets a short list of tools — check, publish, schedule, list what went out — and the reply after publishing gives you the link to the first post, so you can open it straight from the conversation.
Asking ChatGPT for an X post
The X ceilings in this exchange come from the same table the publisher enforces — the conversation is drawn, the numbers are not.
Set me up — what do you need?
Just the accounts. Connect them in the browser once and I can publish from here after that.
Done, connected
I will tell you before publishing if a network cannot take what you wrote.
Good. Drafting the launch note now
Send it over and I will check it before anything goes out.
Post the summary we just wrote to X — keep it to one post if you can, thread it if you cannot

Sent as a two-part thread. Each part was counted before either left.
What X allows
Read from the same table the publisher enforces, so this cannot drift from what actually happens when you press send.

Publishing to X from ChatGPT
Over the limit, said before sending
The check names the part that does not fit and by how many characters, so ChatGPT can shorten that sentence rather than guess.
Threads instead of trimming
Say “thread it” and the piece is sent as a chain of replies, each one measured on its own before any of them goes out.
The price before the post
Posts to X cost more of your monthly allowance than other networks, and posts with links more again. The check shows the cost next to the character count.
No developer account needed
You sign in to X in a browser. The API access and its bill are on our side, which is the difference from running X’s own MCP server.

The refusal ChatGPT runs into most
Of all the publish attempts from ChatGPT that we refused in the last month, most were refused for the same reason: the text was longer than one of the networks in the message allows, and the check caught it before anything was sent. With the tightest ceiling of the lot, X is where that most easily happens. The refusal is deliberate — publishing would have meant X cutting the post mid-word — and it comes back with the network and the overshoot, which is usually all ChatGPT needs to fix the draft in the next message.

When this is the wrong tool
If most of what you post is links and most of it goes to X, look at the pricing first: X charges per post and charges more for posts with links, and that cost is passed through in how many units an X post uses. And this publishes — it does not read your timeline, search X or reply to mentions.
Questions people actually ask
Can ChatGPT post tweets for me?
Yes, with 1Social connected. You sign in to X once in a browser; after that ChatGPT can check a post against X’s limit, publish it or schedule it, and the reply gives you the link to the post.
Can ChatGPT post a thread on X?
Yes. Ask for a thread, or let the check suggest one when the text is too long. It goes out as a chain of up to 25 replies, and each part is measured against the limit on its own first.
Do I need an X developer account or API key?
No. That is the main difference from X’s own MCP server, which runs with your developer credentials and bills you directly. Here you sign in, and the API access is ours.
