Facebook · from ChatGPT
Post to a Facebook Page from ChatGPT.
Facebook rarely travels alone from ChatGPT. It goes out with Instagram, from the same message, and each network answers for itself.
From ChatGPT, Facebook is usually the second half of a sentence: “post this to Instagram and the Facebook Page”. That pairing is common enough to plan for, and it is exactly where the pair disagrees most. Facebook takes a text-only post and has room for 63,206 characters; Instagram takes neither. One message to both is checked against each separately, so a post without a picture can go out on the Page while Instagram is held back with a reason.
Publishing is to a Page you manage and chose when you connected, through Meta’s Graph API with a login in a browser. Personal profiles are not reachable by any API, so they are not reachable from here either. ChatGPT gets tools to post, schedule and remove Page posts, and every answer comes back network by network rather than as one green tick for the lot.
Asking ChatGPT for a Facebook post
The Facebook ceilings in this exchange come from the same table the publisher enforces — the conversation is drawn, the numbers are not.
Set me up — what do you need?
Just the accounts. Connect them in the browser once and I can publish from here after that.
Done, connected
I will tell you before publishing if a network cannot take what you wrote.
Good. Drafting the launch note now
Send it over and I will check it before anything goes out.

Both can take this, and here is how each sees it:
Both scheduled for 19:00. You will get a separate line back for the Page and for Instagram.
What Facebook allows
Read from the same table the publisher enforces, so this cannot drift from what actually happens when you press send.

Publishing to Facebook from ChatGPT
Facebook and Instagram in one message
Ask for both and each is checked on its own terms — Facebook will take what Instagram refuses, and you are told which is which before anything goes.
One receipt per network
If the Page post goes out and the Instagram one does not, that is exactly what the reply says, and only the failed one needs trying again.
The same attachment for both
A photo attached in ChatGPT is handed to the tool once and used for the Page and for Instagram, so the two posts cannot end up with different pictures.
Removable, unlike its sibling
A Page post can be deleted afterwards and the deletion is confirmed. Its Instagram twin cannot, which is worth knowing before you post the pair.

The pair that disagrees about text
Across publishes from ChatGPT, Instagram is the network named most often, and about two in three of the calls that include a Facebook Page include Instagram as well. The two are owned by one company and share a login screen, and they disagree about the most basic thing: Facebook is happy with words alone, Instagram refuses a post that has no image or video. A text-only update aimed at both is therefore checked twice, published on the Page, and stopped for Instagram before anything is sent — reported as two outcomes, because that is what it is.
A limitation of Facebook from ChatGPT itself — it stays true whoever publishes for us. Measured on a live account, 2026-10-27.
When this is the wrong tool
If the Facebook you mean is your personal profile, this cannot help — Facebook’s API has no way to post there, from ChatGPT or anywhere else. It is for Pages. And because a Page post cannot be read back without logging in, a successful delivery here rests on what Meta’s API returned rather than on something we checked independently.
Questions people actually ask
Can ChatGPT post to Facebook?
To a Facebook Page, yes, with 1Social connected. ChatGPT calls the tool, the post goes through Meta’s Graph API on the Page you chose, and you get a link back to it. Personal profiles cannot be posted to through any API.
Can one message post to Facebook and Instagram together?
Yes, and that is how most people use it. Each network is checked on its own rules first, so if Instagram needs a picture you have not attached, the Page post can still go and you are told why Instagram did not.
Which Page does it post to if I manage several?
The one you picked when you connected. You can connect more than one Page and name the one you want in the message; ChatGPT lists the connected accounts before it publishes.
