TikTok · from ChatGPT
Post to TikTok from ChatGPT.
Attach the video, say when, confirm once. ChatGPT’s confirmation step is the last moment to change your mind, and on TikTok it matters.
TikTok is the second network people ask ChatGPT for most often, usually for a clip that already exists on their phone or laptop. Attach it to the message and ChatGPT passes the file to the publishing tool, which moves it to TikTok through the Content Posting API and publishes it as a post on your profile — not as a draft waiting in your TikTok inbox, which is what the API underneath does when nobody says otherwise.
Photo posts work the same way: several pictures in one message become a single TikTok carousel of up to 35 images, each one re-encoded to the format TikTok accepts on the way. Captions run to 2,200 characters. ChatGPT shows you what it is about to send before the tool runs, and the answer afterwards says whether TikTok accepted it.
Asking ChatGPT for a TikTok post
The TikTok ceilings in this exchange come from the same table the publisher enforces — the conversation is drawn, the numbers are not.
Set me up — what do you need?
Just the accounts. Connect them in the browser once and I can publish from here after that.
Done, connected
I will tell you before publishing if a network cannot take what you wrote.
Good. Drafting the launch note now
Send it over and I will check it before anything goes out.

Publishing to TikTok from ChatGPT
Confirmed by you, then published
ChatGPT asks before it calls a tool that posts somewhere public. On TikTok that pause is worth having, because a published video cannot be removed through the API.
Photos in any format
PNGs and full-size phone shots are converted to what TikTok takes before they leave, so a picture attached in ChatGPT does not bounce on a format rule.
Long carousels from a single message
Attach a batch of photos and they go out as one TikTok photo post, far longer than any other network here will accept in one go.
No link back yet
TikTok posts do not return a link or numbers to the chat yet. The reply says the post was accepted; checking it on the profile is still on you.

The confirmation is the undo button
Our publishing tool is marked as one that changes something outside the conversation and cannot always be reversed, and ChatGPT treats that honestly: it shows what it is about to send and waits for you before the tool runs. On most networks that is a formality. On TikTok it is the only chance you get, because there is no delete endpoint for a published video — not for us and not for anyone else working through the API. Read the caption in that confirmation the way you would read it on your profile.
A rule of TikTok from ChatGPT, not ours and not the network’s. From documentation, checked 2026-10-27.
When this is the wrong tool
If you want TikTok numbers in the chat — views, likes, how a clip did against the last one — this does not give you that yet, and neither does it link back to the post it made. It is for getting a clip out from where you were already talking about it, not for running a TikTok account from ChatGPT.
Questions people actually ask
Can ChatGPT upload a video to TikTok?
Yes, with 1Social connected. Attach the video to your message and ask; ChatGPT hands the file to the tool and it is published through TikTok’s Content Posting API on the account you signed in with. The reply says whether TikTok accepted it.
Will the video end up in my TikTok drafts?
No. The publish mode is sent explicitly and read back from TikTok’s answer, so it is a post on your profile. The API’s default is a draft, which is why it is never left to the default.
Can I take a TikTok post down from ChatGPT?
No. TikTok offers no way to delete a published video through its API, so it has to be removed in the TikTok app. That is why the confirmation ChatGPT shows before posting is worth reading properly.
