Publer is cheaper to start with and does more inside its own interface. The question is whether you want to be in an interface at all.
Publer is a well-built scheduler with a free tier, a low entry price, a calendar, post previews, drafts, approval workflows and a long list of networks. As a scheduler it does considerably more than we do, and for most people evaluating both on features alone it will come out ahead.
The difference is not a feature. It is that everything Publer does well happens inside Publer, and everything here happens inside the conversation where the post was written. If your posts already begin as a chat with an assistant, that gap is the entire product; if they do not, it is worth very little.

Where Publer is the better choice
A free tier, a lower price to begin with, a calendar, previews, drafts, approval flows for teams and many more networks. If you manage social accounts as a job rather than as a side effect of building something, Publer gives you more of what that job needs than we do, and starting there costs you nothing.
Why people pick 1Social instead
Two things here are not on that list. The first is that there is nothing to open: the same instruction that produced the post publishes it, across every network you picked, with each version reshaped to fit rules that differ sevenfold between networks.
The second is what happens when it does not work. Each network is reported separately, a failure is named in language you can act on, an outcome that could not be established is labelled unknown rather than assumed, and a retry touches only the network that failed. That behaviour is the product; the publishing is the easy part.
What you get here that you would be trading for
No interface to learn
There is no editor, no calendar and no queue screen, because the conversation is all three. That is a real subtraction, and it is the one thing being sold.
Rules that differ sevenfold
Ceilings, media requirements and threading behaviour vary enormously between networks, and reconciling them is handled rather than left as your homework.
Retry only what broke
A network that failed can be sent again on its own, without republishing to the ones that already went out and without anybody seeing it twice.

Publer’s note about X is the same problem we price for
Publer says plainly that X accounts require a paid subscription because of what X charges for API access. That is the same underlying fact our own pricing is shaped around, arrived at independently and solved differently: they gate the network behind a paid tier, we let it through and weight its deliveries more heavily, because a post to X costs us cash and a post carrying a link costs several times more again. Neither approach is a trick. It is worth seeing two products reach the same wall and choose different doors, because it tells you the wall is real rather than either of us being awkward about it.

When this is the wrong tool
No free tier, no calendar, no drafts interface, no approval workflow, and fewer networks. If you are managing accounts for clients and need any of those, this would be a downgrade dressed as a change of workflow, and you should stay where you are.
Questions people actually ask
Is 1Social cheaper than Publer?
For a small number of accounts, almost certainly not — their entry price is low and ours is not. The models differ: they charge per connected account, we charge per delivery that leaves. Which wins depends on how much you publish rather than on how many accounts you hold.
Does 1Social have drafts and approvals?
No. There is no approval step between an agent deciding to publish and the post going out, and if somebody needs to review copy before it becomes public, that gate does not exist here.
Why is X treated differently by both products?
Because X charges for API access in a way no other network here does, and a post carrying a link costs substantially more than a plain one. Publer gates X behind a paid plan; we let it through and weight its deliveries. Same wall, different doors.
