TikTok · from Claude

Post to TikTok from Claude.

From Claude, a TikTok video arrives as a link. The one thing it must be is a link to the file itself, not to a page that plays it.

TikTok needs a video or photos for every post, and from Claude those arrive the same way as all media does: as links. Claude does not hand an attached file to a connector, so the clip is given as a public link to the video file — from your own storage, an asset host, or our upload tool — and we fetch it, move it to TikTok through the Content Posting API, and publish it as a post on your profile rather than as a draft.

Photo posts are a list of links in one message and become a single carousel of up to 35 images, each re-encoded into the format TikTok takes. Captions run to 2,200 characters. The check before sending confirms that every link really is a file of a type we accept, which on TikTok is where most problems from a chat start.

Asking Claude for a TikTok post

The TikTok ceilings in this exchange come from the same table the publisher enforces — the conversation is drawn, the numbers are not.

Set me up — what do you need?

Just the accounts. Connect them in the browser once and I can publish from here after that.

Done, connected

I will tell you before publishing if a network cannot take what you wrote.

Good. Drafting the launch note now

Send it over and I will check it before anything goes out.

Publishing to TikTok from Claude

A post on your profile

The publish mode is sent on every request and read back from TikTok’s reply, so the clip is published rather than parked in your drafts.

Each link is opened first

Before TikTok is asked, every link is checked to be a real image or video file of an accepted type, so a share page is caught in the chat.

Photo carousels from links

Paste a list of image links and they go out as one TikTok photo post, converted on the way to the size and format TikTok wants.

Accepted, not yet linked

TikTok does not give a link to the new post back to us yet, so Claude can tell you it was accepted but not hand you the URL.

A share link is a web page, not a video

The most natural thing to paste into Claude is a share link — the address a cloud drive or a video tool gives you when you press “share”. Open one and you get a page with a player on it, which is to say HTML, and that is exactly what our fetch receives: a file of type text/html, refused as not being a video before TikTok is ever asked. The fix is the direct download link to the file, or letting our upload tool create one. It is a small difference, and it is one of the refusals we really do see from pasted links.

A limitation of this product. Ours to fix. Measured on a live account, 2026-10-27.

When this is the wrong tool

If your workflow is filming on the phone and posting within the minute, the link step makes Claude the slower route to TikTok, and TikTok’s own app is quicker still. This is for clips that already live somewhere with a stable link — a render folder, an asset library — and for posting them on a schedule.

Questions people actually ask

Can Claude post videos to TikTok?

Yes, with 1Social connected. Give Claude a public link to the video file and ask; the clip is fetched, sent to TikTok through the Content Posting API and published as a post. The reply says whether TikTok accepted it.

Why was my video link refused?

Usually because it opens a page with a player rather than the file. Use the direct download link — it normally ends in the file name — or let the upload tool create a link from the file itself.

Can Claude post a TikTok photo carousel?

Yes. Paste the links to the images in one message and ask for a photo post. They go out together as one carousel, each converted to the JPEG size TikTok accepts.
